Registered Teacher Criteria Implementation

Dear Colleagues
Thank you for all those registrations for the Registered Teacher Criteria workshops that came rolling in before 12 May. This has enabled us to make decisions about which workshops will go ahead and which we need to cancel or change venue. At this stage the only venues we have definitely cancelled are Tokoroa, Te Kuiti, Turangi, Taihape and Blenheim. We will contact people enrolled at these locations and discuss options for them. The final programme with details about times and confirmed venues is published on our website (see link below).
There has been a strong response for most proposed locations. We can now lift our restriction on only one enrolment per institution BUT we still need this to be limited to only one extra person except where there is clearly a case for more, such as very large schools or institutions with more than one site. Please contact us with requests for extra registrations. If you want extra people to come along, you can ask and we will note the request but we will not be able to confirm until closer to the workshop date.
Even though workshops later in the year seem a long way off, we are requesting applications now to enable us to plan for appropriate venues and printing of resources. We cannot guarantee we will be able to confirm requests for registration at any of the workshops closer to the date. To register, please email Alastair.mclean@teacherscouncil.govt.nz
