Guidelines for Induction and Mentoring workshops
Whaia te mātauranga, whaia te māramatanga. Tihei mauri ora.
We are providing additional workshops to introduce the new Guidelines for Induction and Mentoring and Mentor Teachers in March/April 2012. Workshops in 2011 were highly successful and we urge those professional leaders and mentor leaders to take advantage of this further opportunity to explore the new resource.
The Guidelines provide the essential features of high quality induction and mentoring, and describe the key skills and attributes required for effective mentoring of teachers, whether they are provisionally registered, subject to confirmation or overseas trained teachers. The Guidelines were developed as a result of the Council's research programme Learning to Teach (2007-2008) and were tested in pilot programmes in 2009 and 2010.
Workshop enrolment details
The programme for the workshops is listed below. Information about unconfirmed venues will be updated as soon as possible.
