Initial Teacher Education Research Reports 2004 - 2006A joint research project was entered into by the New Zealand Teachers Council and the Ministry of Education to provide an evidence base for policy development in initial teacher education in New Zealand. Four reports were prepared, of which the second and third can be accessed from this website by clicking on them. A summary of findings of all four reports has also been published. The first and fourth reports were not formally published but findings are included in the summary report, and they are available as working papers on request to the Ministry of Education or the Teachers Council.
