Conduct Rules
These rules set out the procedures that the New Zealand Teachers Council must follow in dealing with reports and complaints about teacher conduct, including possible serious misconduct and about convictions.

Impairment Rules
These rules set out the procedures used for teachers referred to the impairment process.

Reports and Complaints Rules
These rules:
- identify the criteria for reporting serious misconduct and for reporting competence issues;
- outline the general requirements for making reports and complaints about teachers under the Education Act 1989; and
- outline specific requirements about what information must be included in specific types of reports and complaints under the Education Act.
